Verizon Connect wins three Stevie® Awards for AI fleet innovation

Verizon Connect has been honored with three prestigious Stevie® Awards in the 2026 American Business Awards®. Recognizing the company’s pivotal role in transforming fleet management from reactive monitoring to proactive intelligence, these awards highlight Verizon Connect’s commitment to safety, efficiency, and advanced AI-powered operations.

The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. More than 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s winners from more than 3,700 nominations.  Verizon Connect was distinguished across multiple categories for fundamentally shifting how modern fleets operate.

Gold Stevie® Winner: Transportation - Large, Proactive Fleet Intelligence

Taking the top honor, Verizon Connect was named a Gold Stevie® Award winner for Fleet Innovation in the Transportation - Large category. The award celebrates the company's comprehensive approach to driving industry innovation and protecting drivers.

Key achievements highlighted in the winning Gold nomination include:

  • Generative AI Innovation: The launch of Operational Insights, a solution that automatically detects critical trends like abnormal idling and speeding, delivering natural-language summaries to managers without the need for manual prompting.
  • Advanced Safety Coaching: Sophisticated AI Video Coaching workflows that combine edge computing for real-time in-cab alerts with a cloud-based Video Analytics Engine (VAE) to reduce high-risk driving events.
  • 360-Degree Visibility: The evolution of Extended View Cameras, which provide near-total visibility via rear, side, and cargo-mounted cameras to reduce blind spots and protect against false claims.
  • Sustainability Leadership: An expanded EV Suitability Tool and Emission System Report that identifies vehicles to convert to EV’s and track CO2 reductions to support corporate sustainability goals.

Silver Stevie® Winner: Technology Innovation of the Year - Software

Looking toward the future of fleet technology, Verizon Connect also earned a Silver Stevie® for Technology Innovation of the Year – Software. This honor celebrates the Reveal platform’s ability to modernize safety, compliance, and efficiency.

Verizon Connectis moving beyond simple GPS tracking to serve as a proactive intelligence partner for small businesses, government agencies, and global enterprises alike. This forward-looking award spotlighted innovations driving the future of the platform, including:

Bronze Stevie® Winner: Best AI-Powered Product or Service

Rounding out the trifecta is a Bronze Stevie® Award for Best AI-Powered Product or Service, awarded to Operational Insights.

While AI solutions often take the form of chatbots that require user prompts, Operational Insights introduces a "promptless" interface. Functioning as a 24/7 autonomous analyst, the system uses large language models and statistical time-series comparison to uncover hidden inefficiencies managers may not even know to look for. It automatically identifies critical trends—such as spikes in harsh driving or rising idling behaviors—and delivers them as plain-language summaries in an intuitive news feed.
