Asset tracking software and solutions
Look after the assets that look after your business with a powerful asset tracking system that works for all your high-value equipment.
It’s time to take control of the things that matter, and Verizon Connect asset tracking solutions are here to help. And it’s all part of the powerfully simple Verizon Connect platform, an innovative solution that grows and adapts to the needs of your business.
Location – know where your assets are, and where they’ve been
With full visibility on all your high-value assets, you can make sure equipment can be located quickly when it’s needed.
Even when you have thousands of assets, you can track them all on a single web-based dashboard that cleverly clusters multiple assets and offers fast searching or tag filtering.
See asset location, current status and usage history, alongside the rest of your mobile workforce including company vehicles, jobsites, depots and custom map markers (including industry-specific GIS data).
Utilization – are your assets working?
Asset tracking can help you understand how your assets are being used. Are you getting a good return on your investment, or are they sitting idle most of the day? Asset utilization reports can quickly identify equipment that can be sold off or repurposed somewhere else in the business.
Utilization rates / ROI
Asset utilization reports can help identify equipment with low ROI, providing managers with the numbers they need to sell or relocate underperforming assets.
Rental billing / project costs
Track actual asset usage by project to improve cost analysis and competitive bids for future work. Improve the accuracy and efficiency of billing customers who rent your equipment.
Fuel tax credits
Tax credit calculations for off-road or PTO operations are simplified with usage reports that total fuel used for eligible assets.Get a demo
Security – monitor unauthorized use
Make sure your equipment doesn’t get into the wrong hands with geofence alerts that create a virtual perimeter around your assets. If assets are moved, you’ll know about it.
Instant alerts allow you or your security team to notify law enforcement immediately, minimizing damage and speeding up asset recovery.
Maintenance – efficient monitoring and service scheduling
It's easy to take your business' assets for granted, until they go missing or break down. Protect the lifeblood of your business to prevent costly downtime.
Track mechanical wear and tear and schedule necessary maintenance (based on an actual usage metric such as engine hours) or create alerts for parts when they need replacing.
Asset tracking devices
Quality GPS asset tracking devices, specifically designed to meet your requirements and the demands of your working environment, provide reliable reporting to make sure you get the data you need, when you need it.
Factory-fitted / AEMP compatible
Your equipment may already have the asset-tracking hardware it needs to connect to our system. We work with a growing number of equipment makers – including John Deere, Komatsu, Caterpillar – that use AEMP, allowing you to track all your different assets on a single screen.
The rugged GPS location units are built to work in a range of harsh environments with IP67 protection.
Long battery life
Set and forget. For assets that don’t want to be disturbed, you can opt for self-powered asset trackers with a battery life of up to four years. Other options include 12V DC, 24V DC, 48V AC, 110V AC or 220V AC.
Decide what you want to monitor, and how often you want the tracker to report – it’s all up to you and the needs of your business.
3G/4G or satellite
You can still track your assets, even they’re outside the cellular network. Choose GPRS cellular network data, satellite coverage or a combination (dual-mode) for maximum coverage.Get a demo
Asset tracking that goes where you go
Stay in control of your assets even while you’re out of the office with our mobile app (iPhone, iPad or Android) that uses your current location to show nearby assets.
You can also choose to receive SMS alerts for exceptions to business rules such as unauthorized use or assets moving in or out of a specific area (geofence).
