What is DVIR?

Driver Vehicle Inspection Reporting (DVIR) is also known as a driver walk around check. Quite simply it is a visual inspection, by the driver of a vehicle, to ensure that it is in good working order. This can be as simple or comprehensive as required by a company. Many companies with HGV’s will follow a 21 point check as prescribed by the DVSA.
