Research finds Ops directors need new tools

By Sergio Barata December 4, 2018

Managing mobile workforce is an extremely complex task. There are many competing elements to juggle, and with more competition than ever, customers won’t think twice about looking elsewhere if their experience is not satisfactory. However, it seems that operational directors are still struggling to keep on top of managing their mobile assets.

In fact, our research found that over three quarters (79%) of senior operational decision makers agreed that their organisations had to find a better way of managing their mobile workforce operations. Furthermore, the majority of respondents reported a degree of difficulty when it came to managing the field service management (70%), operations (65%) and fleets/assets (62%) elements of their organisation’s mobile workforce.

In order to improve efficiency, ops directors need to ensure their organisation isn’t separated into multiple different siloes with little to no visibility between each one. Tools such as Mobile Resource Management (MRM) can provide complete visibility into the location of all of their organisation’s mobile employees and whether they are working as effectively as possible. This enables operations teams to manage their mobile workforces efficiently and maintain customer satisfaction.
