With Engine Connect for Reveal, you get a flow of reliable and actionable data straight from the epicentre of each vehicle. With this information to hand, you can monitor fuel usage, distance travelled, mileage and engine performance at a glance. 

You can also view reports to compare fuel used, distance travelled and average cost per  vehicle across your fleet to keep close tabs on fuel economy.

Engine Connect also allows you to be alerted of any engine issues as they happen, so you can address maintenance and repairs faster – before they lead to more serious problems. Alerts contain information on which vehicle is having the issue, when it first occurred, and, if applicable, the relevant diagnostic code, so you’ll know exactly what’s gone wrong. 

How it works

Engine Connect installation is both quick and simple. Our vehicle tracking unit connects to the vehicle’s Engine Control Module (ECM) and begins capturing crucial data from your vehicle’s engine management system straight away. This information is fed into your Reveal solution for simple, easy-to-understand insight into engine performance and much more. 

Once in place, Engine Connect can help you to:

• Monitor fuel usage: With data straight from the ECM, you can measure fuel consumption and cross-check with driver behaviour to spot any habits that may contribute to poor fuel economy.
• Receive Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) as they happen: With Engine Connect, you’ll automatically receive DTC alerts as soon as the check engine light comes on, so you can take action and help prevent future issues.
• Keep VIN records up to date: Engine Connect and the ECM automatically record VINs and keep records up-to-date in Reveal.
• Monitor distance travelled by each vehicle: ECM control systems can help capture accurate odometer readings and see how many miles your drivers have travelled over set periods.
• Improve driver behaviour: By capturing accurate vehicle speeds from the ECM, you can use real-world data to coach safer and more fuel-friendly driving. 
• Monitor and reduce idling: See when engines are on and not in motion to track and reduce instances of vehicle idling.
• Prioritise proactive maintenance: By tracking engine on hours and mileage, you can easily keep track of routine servicing and repairs.
