Know who is operating each vehicle with Driver ID

Your company assigns multiple drivers to the same vehicle to conduct business. The Driver ID feature of our driver tracking system identifies the driver of a vehicle in near real time. Using a driver ID key fob assigned to each driver, you can:

  • Identify the driver and track their routes
  • Track driver behaviors, rapid acceleration, braking and engine idling
  • Coach to the driver’s performance, not the vehicle’s

How GPS fleet tracking with Driver ID works

Along with our GPS tracking unit, a key reader will be installed on your vehicle’s dashboard. A unique key fob will be associated with each driver, and the driver will be required to use the key fob when they drive a company vehicle.

Step 1

When the vehicle is turned on, the driver will insert the key fob into the key reader.

Sound on
Step 2

The fob will beep once it has registered the driver.

Vehicle location
Step 3

Telematics data from that driver will then update in your GPS tracking system.
